Design of a travelling arts colony in Wellington New Zealand. Created from recycled shipping containers these studios would move location around Wellington city every few months.

A successful trial programme was run in October 2007 as part of IntensCITY Week and was planned for an annual summer event

Aside from working as comfortable studio space for artists the ambition of this travelling colony was for it to be employed in the front line of future urban projects. As a key, independent group able to employ any tactic, follow any strategy to engage people with their City.

The colony would be located near points of contention or celebration to encourage debate, convey information and provide critique. ConART is an outlet for a response, of support, encouragement, or to rage.
